Peplums, what's your opinion? They are absolutely massive this year and in all retail stores. I've seen peplum dresses, skirts, tops and jackets. They are everywhere and are carrying over into AW12 trends. Here are some of my favourites from the AW12 catwalk.
Oscar De La Renta RTW AW12
Burberry Prorsum RTW AW12
Stella McCartney RTW AW12
I love the knitted peplum dress by Stella McCartney, it's so different, however I don't think all shapes can pull off this dress. Shame I'm not 6ft and size 0. Wah!
Below are some high street peplum tops, skirts and dresses I have found. If I'm 100% honest, I don't think I'll be investing in any peplums this fall. They really do not suit my shape -I'm tiny. I think they create a great silhouette and add curves to straight figures, unfortunately they are just not for me.
Topshop currently stock some great textured peplum tops.
Zara have some really interesting pieces right now, embroidered leather, laced teamed with leather all add class and look more expensive.
All three dresses above are from Topshop
Now you've seen what's on the catwalk and in the high street stores, here are some snaps of how celebrities are currently rocking peplums
(Beyonce Knowles, Cat Deeley, Cara Delevingnes, Charlize Theron, Kate Bosworth and Emma Watson)
