Puerto De La Cruz, Tenerife

My two friends, Megan and Jessica and I have just got back from a long weekend in Puerto De La Cruz in Tenerife. We all needed some time away from rainy Manchester. Apart from the weekend of Parklife, there has been no sign of Summer around here; and seeing as though everyone in the world but us were at Glastonbury, where better than to go than abroad. We chose to go to the North of the Island, as I've been to the South previously, I stayed in Las Americas and it was very English and, well... pretty tacky. So, we got the plane on the Friday morning and stayed until Monday evening. The weather was absolute bliss and the restaurants were faultless. Everyday we had at least two liters of sangria with our meal and ate until we couldn't move. We also found a vegetarian and organic restaurant called El ManĂ¡ and the menu looked absolutely divine. Take a look at the menu here. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed over the weekend we were there, absolutely gutted. I am most definitely going back, if only to go to this restaurant!
Below are some of my holiday snaps...

If you're looking for a cheap break or holiday with guaranteed sunshine I would 100% recommend Puerto De La Cruz. The people are friendly, the restaurants are great, the sea is warm and the weather is great

Lost in Savanna

Spell and The Gypsy Collective have just released their look book for July 2013. True to Spell and The Gypsy Collective style it includes fur, turquoise, texture, tassels, silver and leather. However, they've also added an edgy rock star, military feel which works perfectly. I love the animal print that runs throughout, and feel it gives the collection that hard edge needed. Tallulah Morton is definitely the model for the job too, with her cat like eyes, tousled and dreadlocked hair and perfect olive skin tone; I think she represents exactly what collection is about. Take a look at some of my favourite images below

Parklife 2013

What an amazing weekend! The sun was blazing and the drinks were flowing. Absolutely gutted I didn't see Example, Erol Alkan and Rudimental. However, I did get to see Iggy Azalea, Jessie Ware, The Maccabees, TNGHT and so many more. Heaton Park was definitely a shout for the new venue. Roll on 2014

Spell Bound at Coachella

I recently stumbled across the Spell and Gypsy Collective website and fell in love with everything they sell. I immediately told my friend Alice about this site as it just screams out for her. I thought I'd do a post on the products they sell as it fits perfect with Coachella which is happening right now. So gutted I'm not there wahhh. Spell and Gypsy Collective sell the most amazing kimonos I need to have them all in my life immediately

Their collections are truly amazing. As we're heading into high Summer and festival season you've probably noticed all high street stores pushing their festival looks straight to the front of the store. Fringes, tassels, embroidery, leather, denim, shells, feathers, suede, beads... I can't help but feeling this year's festival look is more Coachella than V Fest. I feel as though it's a lot more bohemian than it's ever been before with a touch of premium thrown in there. Out with the old khaki parkas, Hunter boots and cheap jersey vests; in the with the kimonos, dresses and sunshine.

Take a look at Topshop's premium kimonos here. The three below are my absolute favourite

I think the most important things for a Summer festival to complete your outfit are accessories! Backpacks, bum bags, jewelry, shoes, hats, scarves! Everything and anything
